Canine Osteosarcoma – Holistic Alternatives – By: Dr. Andrew Turkell
Date: June 1, 2012Osteosarcoma is one of the two most common canine cancers and we have treated enormous number dogs with this bone cancer over the past 30 years.
It is a big fright to get a cancer diagnosis, but many of my patients start out here and get extended remissions on the herbal program. The most important thing to recognize is that if there is vitality there is plenty of reason to believe that we can slow down or halt the process of cancer.
The very best thing to do is to start the herbal program immediately. The herbs are completely safe and act as serious tonics to both the fundamentals of the immune system where cancers start from and for the bone health itself. As tonics, the sooner they get to work the better, and waiting for a specific diagnosis and further tests is just time lost.
I recommend amputation only if it is very difficult to control the pain. It is probably better not to amputate in the absence of such pain as the amputation itself causes a further shock to the system and it is best to focus all your dog’s energy on halting and reversing the progress of the cancer itself rather than recover from the operation and adjust to life on three legs.
In terms of quality of life and length of remission we get exceptional results with our herbal treatments.
The advantage of the herbal program is that it is simple and safe to administer (herbal drops mixed into normal feed twice per day). It also contains nothing but very serious tonics to your dog’s health and immune system.
The treatment program consists of the concentrated herbal extracts:-

The mix’s can be run safely with conventional medications.
We have had a lot of dogs go into full remission (keep in mind that the cancer program is going to be a part of the diet for the rest of the dog’s life). Others we simply make more comfortable.
For those who do opt for Chemo or Radio therapy to give the cancers a fright we provide mixes to support their dogs systems against the destructive side effects of these protocols. See the following links:

We also recommend that you place your on a diet of Raw Meat & Bones I.E. beef/mutton bones with meat on them or raw chicken necks and wings or mince, definitely no processed food and snacks. You can also add some freshly cooked vegetables and rice as well.
If you dog is not already on this type of diet, then I suggest that you introduce it slowly.
