Sagen Woolery, DVM
Dr. Sagen Woolery was born and raised in Warner Robins, GA. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Mississippi University for Women in 2011, and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 2015. Passionate about emergency & critical care and soft-tissue surgery, Dr. Woolery gained extensive surgical training during veterinary school, and thrives in the fast-paced environment of the ER. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She is also published in the Journal of Veterinary Medicine and Research, and was selected as a NIH scholar for her research in immunology. An ambassador for Veterinarians International, Dr. Woolery volunteers annually in rural Central America where she performs hundreds of spay/neuter procedures. The time she spends abroad gives her a unique perspective which contributes to her compassion for people and their pets at Calusa Veterinary Center. With her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, water sports, and traveling. She lives in Delray Beach with her four-pound, senior, toothless, best friend in the whole wide world, a rescue Yorkie, Harold.
