March 2015 Pet of the Month – ”ZOE” Shahriari

March 2015 Pet of the Month – ”ZOE” Shahriari
Date: March 1, 2015Calusa Veterinary Center would like to introduce our March 2015 ”Pet of the Month”.
She is ”ZOE” Shahriari.
We rescued Zoe from a shelter in Indiana. She was thought to be about 8 weeks old at the time of the adoption. A couple of days after bringing her home she started to get really sick. She was suffering from Parvo virus and was admitted to the ICU. For the next 11 days, we visited her everyday but she continued to decline. Despite her decline, she was always so happy when we visited her and we showered her with love. After MANY prayers, tears, and transfusions from dogs of the staff at the animal shelter (one of whom was a Parvo survivor), Zoe miraculously turned the corner and recovered. We will never forget that tiny puppy fighting to survive and I don’t think that she will ever forget us fighting for her. They say dogs are different after having the Parvo virus, almost like they have behavior of being thankful. Zoe is a reminder to us to never give up and give thanks for those that love you.
Congratulations to “ZOE” Shahriari and family for being voted as Calusa’s March 2015 Pet of the Month!
