Marisa Holst, DVM

Marisa Holst is an Emergency Veterinarian at Calusa Veterinary Center. She graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Animal Science and went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She attended Louisiana State University for her clinical year training and she is Fear Free Certified. Dr. Holst’s areas of professional interest include emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Holst grew up in a small town in Montana half a mile down a dirt road from the town’s animal hospital. She later acquired a job there and thus developed her love for veterinary medicine. She says the best part of being a veterinarian is the success stories and sending pets home happy and healthy.
Dr. Holst currently lives in Lake Worth, Florida with her dog, Meeko, and cats, Leo and Cleo. When she is not practicing veterinary medicine, she enjoys traveling to see her friends and family, being creative, cooking, and playing ice hockey.
