May is ‘Chip Your Pet Month! – EXTENDED THROUGH JUNE 30th!
Date: May 17, 2016Your pet is far too special to be lost without a way home.
We never want your pet to be lost, unidentifiable or placed in a shelter. Losing your forever friend is scary, and we can imagine how frightened a lost pet is as well. The good news is, microchips significantly increase the likelihood of a tail-waggingly happy reunion. Saving lives and bringing pets home to their forever families, we are honoring National ‘Chip Your Pet Month with $5 off microchip implantation until May 31st June 30th! Give us a call at 561-999-3000 to schedule your pet’s visit today.
A microchip is as unique as your pet. If your pet is found, they can’t tell someone your name, address or phone number, but a microchip can! Helping your forever friend find their way back to you, recent studies have found that lost pups who are microchipped are 2.5 times more likely to return home, while lost kitties who are microchipped are 20 times more likely to return home. We also highly recommend collars and ID tags because after all, anything helps. Still, these forms of identification are not foolproof.
While we hope your pet is never lost, accidents do happen. Check out how a microchip can help:
So, my pet won’t feel a thing?
Quick and painless, microchips are implanted in seconds without any anesthesia. As small as a grain of rice, your pet will not even notice the tiny microchip beneath their skin and between their shoulders. Much like a routine vaccine injection, microchips can be implanted at the same time as other vaccines, procedures and general wellness visits.
Will my pet’s microchip ever need replaced?
No! Amazing, huh? Microchips are permanent, ensuring lifelong protection from theft and loss. If you ever move or get a new phone number, be sure to update your pet’s microchip identification information. If your information is not updated, how will your pet find you?
If my pet doesn’t go outside, why do they need a microchip?
Even if you are the most careful pet parent, accidents happen! Think about all of the possibilities: the door is open for too long, a window is left open or a guest lets your pet outside are among a few scenarios.
Is it costly to have my pet microchipped?
Not at all. Since microchips are permanent, there is a one-time implantation fee. There may be an additional fee to register your pet in a database. Both of which are affordable, especially when considering the lifetime of protection a microchip provides! Simply reach out to us for estimates.
