With over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine, Andrew serves as the Nurse Trainer Coordinator at Calusa Veterinary Center. A graduate of veterinary technician school, he has spent his career in emergency and critical care, with additional expertise in cardiology and internal medicine. Andrew is deeply passionate about advancing the role of veterinary nurses through continuing education and public awareness of their vital contributions to patient care. As a leader and educator, he is dedicated to helping nurses grow their clinical skills and confidence in a fast-paced ER setting.

Andrew thrives in the dynamic environment of emergency medicine and brings that same energy to his teaching. He’s known for his calm, supportive approach under pressure and believes that real-time learning in high-stakes situations builds confidence and competence. Whether it's walking a new nurse through a procedure during a critical case or debriefing after a tough shift, Andrew focuses on creating teachable moments that stick. He values open communication, skill-building, and developing clinical judgment through hands-on experience and mentorship.

At home, Andrew shares his life with his partner and forever travel buddy. They have two hairless cats Mochi and Mana and two dogs Lucky and Benny. Outside the clinic, you’ll likely find him exploring national parks, hiking the Grand Canyon, or planning his next travel adventure.
