In memory of “PING PONG” Hauser – April 2014 Pet of the Month
Date: April 1, 2014Ping Pong came from a breeder in Texas at 8 weeks of age, in May 2002. He was a Chinese Shar-Pei. He became a Pediatric Pet Therapy dog after a year of intensive training. He worked at Columbia Presbyterian, and N.Y. Presbyterian hospitals, as well as a school for children with autism. Upon moving to Florida four years ago, he worked at St. Mary’s hospital. He loved working with kids and they adored him. They looked forward to the tricks he did for them, and the many dog treats they gave him. They loved it when he climbed onto their beds and cuddled while they pet him. Ping Pong was a very special dog. The joy that people received from him is endless. “He is truly MY HERO,” says his mom.
Ping Pong will be forever missed by all the doctors and staff at Calusa. He will be forever in our hearts.
