September 2014 Pets of the Month – “MICK” & “BUD” Bachmann

September 2014 Pets of the Month – “MICK” & “BUD” Bachmann
Date: September 1, 2014Calusa Veterinary Center would like to introduce our September 2014 “Pets of the Month”.
They are “MICK” and “BUD” Bachmann.
I found Mick in a pressure washer’s engine block. He had gotten himself stuck in the engine and was crying when I walked by at the Boca Mall. The owner, a big burly guy named Mick, helped me get him out. It took 2 hours disassembling engine parts to free him, and so I named him after the guy. My nice solid white dress shirt I had on was completely destroyed, but when he crawled into my arms, we became instant friends. He is a very loving cat with one odd habit. He is a little thief. People don’t believe me until they see him in action. If you happen to visit and leave your purse open, he will go into it and make off with anything he can carry. This also includes food if you’re foolish enough to leave your plate unguarded.
Bud may very well be the kindest soul God ever placed in my life. Throughout all the years and all the people and their pets that have visited; he has been loving and kind to all of them. He never used any of the countless Kitty Condos or beds that I purchased. Instead he has always preferred using our bed and wrapping himself in our comforter. I found him in a pet shop running around and trying to get up to a parrot’s cage. I had originally gone there to buy food for some of the feral cats in the neighborhood, but when he jumped in my arms we became instant friends. Habits include walking on my keyboard which seems to be a popular favorite at my home and only while I am working.
Congratulations to “MICK” & “BUD” Bachmann, and family for being voted as Calusa’s September 2014 Pets of the Month!
